Virtual Shakespeare Camps use Zoom and other distance-bridging technologies to provide a mixture of live online instruction and offline projects for a full-day Shakespeare Camp experience. Campers enrolled in Shakespeare Players Camp or Upstart Crows Camp will receive tailored and carefully crafted programs to move their bodies, challenge their minds, and ignite their imaginations, and always, camp ends with a performance on the final day -- this time, from the comfort of your own home!
Students (ages 7-18) learn all about Shakespeare's theatre in a fun and supportive atmosphere. Campers are taught by theatre practitioners who lead interactive classes in Shakespeare's poetry, clowning traditions, and stage combat. The camp culminates in a final performance of an abridged Shakespeare play for family and friends. Visit our FAQ page for additional information!
This page will be updated frequently with practical details and information, so please check back often. For immediate questions about your enrollment, please email our Education Department.

Choose from among five two-week virtual camp sessions, starting in June and running into early August.
Teen actors delve deeply into the world of Shakespearean performance in our Upstart Crows programs. During the summer, SF Shakes offers teen camps throughout the Bay Area that culminate in a student production of King Lear. Over the spring and fall, Upstart Crows Saturdays produce a Shakespeare play over the course of 10-12 weeks in San Francisco.
