Enhances the skills and capacities of experienced teen performers.
This summer's 4-week conservatory-style program includes intensive voice, movement, text, stage combat, and monologue work. The program culminates in a fully produced version of Shakespeare's King John on the final afternoon of the program. Costumes, props, and scenery are provided by the Festival. Enrollment in this program requires previous acting experience and a successful audition. Scholarship assistance available for families in need.
Auditions are by appointment. Actors are asked to prepare a 60-90 second, memorized Shakespeare speech for the audition. There will be a short Q & A interview as well. Contact Education Director, Phil Lowery, to schedule an audition appointment.
If you have already participated in one of our ASW programs, you do not need to audition again. To enroll in the 2020 ASW session of King John, please contact Education Director, Phil Lowery, for the private enrollment link.
